The removable front post is provided to create a working face barrier/leading edge protection on the access platform. The posts are removable so that when a permanent barrier e.g. block wall, is present the front posts and associated guardrails can be removed to provide easier access to the workface.
The removable front post provides leading edge protection to the working platform and does away with the need for additional fall arrest systems such as “beanbags”, fall arrest safety harnesses, air bags, etc.
